Notre Vue

Our Team

Renee Stein
Owner

Renee Stein is the proprietor of a 710-acre vineyard estate in the heart of Sonoma County, where she continues a legacy of excellence in viticulture and hospitality. Alongside her late husband, Bob, Renee was inspired by the French phrase “Notre Vue”—“our view” or “our perspective”—when they discovered the breathtaking property in 1992, spanning both the Chalk Hill and Russian River appellations.

With a shared vision to cultivate world-class grapes and create a truly immersive wine country experience, the Steins established an agrarian haven that blends natural beauty with sustainable farming and fine winemaking. Since Bob’s passing in 2021, Renee has carried that vision forward with dedication and grace, taking her place among the distinguished women vintners of the world. Her leadership ensures that the spirit of Notre Vue remains as vibrant and enduring as the land itself.

Molly Lippitt
Winemaker

Molly Lippitt was raised in the Sonoma Valley. After earning a degree in Biology, her plans for graduate school were rewritten completely by a job in a winery lab. The living science of wine was far more engaging than the prospects of higher education, and she was hooked.

Growing up in wine country afforded Molly an appreciation of the agricultural side of winemaking, while her college experience provided the space for integrating the science of winemaking. The combination of her scientific mind and practical knowledge of wine made Molly an immediate asset, and she was promoted to join the winemaking team in the cellar of a local winery.

From there, Molly’s career took off. She credits the mentors she's had along the way, including Heidi Barrett, Julien Fayard and Philippe Melka, for honing her detail-focused, site-honoring winemaking style. Molly gained additional hands-on experience by working harvests in New Zealand and throughout California.

Today Molly is based in the Sonoma Valley. When not in vineyards, she can be found hiking, skateboarding, and avoiding being inside at all costs. Molly’s favorite aspects of winemaking are that it affords her ample time outside, and that wine is an otherwise impossible alchemy of land, weather, and time.

Victoria Amezcua-Torres
VineYard Manager

Victoria Amezcua-Torres was born and raised in Tizapan el Alto in Jalisco, a town situated on Lake Chapala. Growing up she was immersed in a rural environment: her family were farmers, cultivating a variety of crops including tomatoes, zucchini, corn, beans, chickpeas, and lemon trees.

She graduated from the National Technological Institute of Mexico with a degree in Agronomy Engineering with a specialization in Plant Sciences. She began her career in agricultural work in Mexico, where she worked with various crops including grapes.

Victoria came to Notre Vue four years ago. She feels exceptionally fortunate to be a part of the Estate, given its beauty, the diversity of the grapes grown on the property and the other flora and fauna.  She has come to know the unique qualities of the Russian River and Chalk Hill AVAs very well and prides herself on the very specific viticultural management practices employed for each vineyard block in the Estate.

She lives on the property and in her spare time she enjoys exploring other vineyards, as well as spending time at the beach. Her mentors include Notre Vue’s former winemaker, Alex Holman, as well as her university professors Jaime Reyes, Ph.D., Javier Carreon, Ph.D., Mark Greenspan, Ph.D., and Lony Litte.
