Fresh aromas of lemon, grapefruit and orange blossom leap from the glass and carry onto the rich, refreshing palate and long finish of this wine. The citrusy fruit and bright acidity makes this Sauvignon Blanc an excellent complement to lighter fish and seafood, all the way to exotic, spicy Thai dishes.
Beautiful aromatics reminiscent of guava and citrus are complemented by a hint crème brulée from the barrel fermentation. These fruity characters carry through on the palate with the French oak adding complex layers of vanilla and toast. Big and bold, this wine pairs lusciously with richer seafood dishes and creamy lobster sauces.
Burgundian in its style, the 2017 Balverne Chardonnay displays vibrant aromatic qualities. Hints of vanilla, toast, and Granny Smith apple pie radiate from the glass. On the palate, there is a buttery roundness that is balanced with notes of poached pear and green apple. The finish is lingering with mouthwatering subtlety.
Complex aromas of Bosc pear, baked apple, toast and cream, with subtle aromas of almonds and spice. On the palate the wine is multi-layered and smooth textured, showing great intensity and flavors of spicy ripe pear and apple along with notes of toasty French oak. The finish is long and satisfying, with complex notes of oak, spice and hints of minerality.
Aromatics reminiscent of strawberry, cherry, cola and black tea rise from a glass of this beautiful Pinot Noir. Subtle notes of leather and nutmeg follow. On the palate balanced acidity carries flavors of cherry and strawberry fruit enveloped in toasty French oak. A rich, long finish of spicy dark fruits and sweet oak make this wine a perfect pairing for BBQ’d salmon, grilled duck and roast pork.
In classic Russian River Valley fashion, the 2015 Reserve Pinot Noir displays intensely fruity character. Fully ripe strawberry and cherry create harmony over subtle, earthy undertones. Incredibly smooth on the palate with balanced, supple tannins, this Pinot is capable of pairing with a wide range of dishes. Some of our favorites here at the winery include chicken pot pie, garlic and herb pork tenderloin, and pan roasted duck breast with a strawberry sauce.
This Cabernet is richly layered with flavors of spice: vanilla, allspice, cinnamon and cardamom, blended with hints of berry, raspberry and cassis flavors from the grapes. The lengthy finish is smooth and well-balanced. This exotic mélange continues to develop during bottle aging. A noteworthy wine will change as you consume it - every swirl and sip will bring forth a new sensory aspect of the wine.
