This delicate wine offers aromatics reminiscent of watermelon, orange rind, and morning roses. Fruity on the palate, the crisp acidity balances flavors of strawberries, guava, and white peach. Try this Rosé with a fresh goat cheese salad, seafood, or lightly grilled summer fruit. Be careful, though . . . it’s so refreshing that on a hot day you’ll be reaching for that second bottle in no time!
With a classic nose of bright citrus, tropical fruits, and grassy notes, this Sauvignon Blanc is crisp and refreshing. The palate offers up lightly honeyed lemon and grapefruit flavors, complemented by a streak of spicy lemongrass. Pair this wine with salads, seafood dishes, and spicy ethnic cuisines.
Beautiful aromatics reminiscent of guava and citrus are complemented by a hint crème brulée from the barrel fermentation. These fruity characters carry through on the palate with the French oak adding complex layers of vanilla and toast. Big and bold, this wine pairs lusciously with richer seafood dishes and creamy lobster sauces.
Burgundian in its style, the 2017 Balverne Chardonnay displays vibrant aromatic qualities. Hints of vanilla, toast, and Granny Smith apple pie radiate from the glass. On the palate, there is a buttery roundness that is balanced with notes of poached pear and green apple. The finish is lingering with mouthwatering subtlety.
Our 2018 Balverne Reserve Pinot Noir is a glass full of ripe bing cherries, raspberries and strawberries, all covered in baking spice and brown sugar. Still very much in its youth, this wine needs a touch of air before it’s willing to show you what it’s got, but give it some time and you will be rewarded with rich waves of cherry and wild strawberry, lifted by pretty, nervy acidity. Pairs well with holiday dishes, salmon, and wild game.
